Job Summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Administrator to join the procurement team of an established Irish Mechanical & Electrical contractor.
The company delivers projects across Data Centres Pharmaceutical Healthcare and large-scale Commercial developments and is looking for an organised purchasing professional to support its growing project portfolio.
Working closely with the Procurement Manager you will support the purchasing of materials equipment and services while coordinating with suppliers engineers and project teams to ensure materials arrive on site when required.

- Create issue and track purchase orders (POs).
- Expedite critical orders to meet project programmes and site deadlines.
- Track materials and equipment from purchase through to delivery and acceptance on site.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders deliveries and procurement requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal project teams.
- Work with Project Managers and Engineers to identify material and equipment requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment requirements.
- Maintain and update inventory and procurement records.
- Organise procurement documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Maintain procurement databases and filing systems.
- Support the Procurement Manager with the day-to-day running of the department.
- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing and procurement processes.
- Complete additional administrative duties as required.
The successful candidate should have:
- Minimum 2 years experience in purchasing procurement administration or a similar role.
- Previous experience within construction engineering or M&E would be advantageous.
- Experience working with purchase orders suppliers materials and procurement documentation.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management ability.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider project and procurement team.
