Everest Insurance International Wholesale & Specialty (IW&S) is part of a global organization. IW&S consists of Everest Syndicate 2786 Everest Insurance Ireland DAC (EIID) and Everest Insurance Singapore (EIS).
This is an exciting time to join IW&S as the business continues to develop and grow its wholesale and specialty portfolio investing in talent systems and capabilities under a global strategy. The Actuarial Function plays a key role in supporting and influencing the businesss strategic objectives and long-term ambitions. Significant investment and collaboration across the wider Group are helping establish a best-in-class actuarial function.
The structure of IW&S provides the opportunity to make a tangible impact on both the day-to-day operations and the future direction of the actuarial department. The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping strategy enhancing actuarial capabilities and strengthening business partnerships across the organization.
As a key member of the actuarial function the successful candidate will support and help drive both business-as-usual activities and strategic initiatives working collaboratively with colleagues across the actuarial team and wider business.
In addition to contributing to the ongoing development of the teams capabilities the successful candidate will take ownership of key aspects of actuarial processes stakeholder management business reporting and capital management activities. The role will also involve supporting actuarial leadership through analysis that informs key business decisions and company results.
This is a broad and varied role offering exposure to a wide network of stakeholders multiple actuarial disciplines project initiatives and quarterly reporting activities. The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy within a supportive and collaborative environment. - Support the development and calibration of key actuarial assumptions and methodologies.
- Assist in the reporting of actuarial results to key stakeholders Group functions and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to pricing reserving and capital management discussions with underwriting actuarial claims finance and reinsurance teams to support underwriting performance and business outcomes.
- Deliver actuarial analysis that supports the business planning process and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with actuaries claims professionals and underwriters to share information influence decision-making and gain alignment on actuarial assumptions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop tools reporting capabilities and analytical outputs that leverage actuarial data to improve underwriting performance and provide meaningful insights to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Support the timely delivery and effective communication of actuarial results and recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics Economics Business or a related discipline.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel SQL Power BI and AI-enabled tools.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex modelling processes and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations reports and discussions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
