- Leading and supporting the Accounts Payable team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
- Overseeing the review approval and processing of invoices in line with company policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and reconciling vendor accounts ensuring accuracy of payments and resolving discrepancies.
- Acting as the primary escalation point for vendor queries and complex payment issues.
- Driving process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and controls within the Accounts Payable function.
- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date maintenance of accounts payable records vendor files and payment documentation.
- Supporting month-end and year-end close processes including reporting and reconciliations.
- Collaborating with Finance Commercial and Project teams to ensure effective financial controls and reporting.
- Assisting with audits compliance requirements and other finance-related projects as required.
- Coaching mentoring and developing team members to achieve departmental objectives and support career progression.
- 5 years experience within Accounts Payable including experience in a senior or supervisory capacity.
- Previous experience within the construction engineering or contracting sector is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable principles controls and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead motivate and develop a finance team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
