Job Summary

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled Scaffolding Inspector to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for inspection verification tagging and acceptance of scaffolding used for construction maintenance instrumentation and ICSS activities. Ensure scaffolds are properly erected stable accessible and compliant with approved standards and site safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect scaffolds for structural integrity stability foundations ties bracing and access.
  • Verify scaffolding erection against approved requirements load classes design limitations and site conditions.
  • Inspect platforms guardrails toe boards ladders access points and working decks.
  • Verify scaffold components are undamaged properly assembled and suitable for intended use.
  • Conduct inspections before first use after modification relocation adverse conditions and at required intervals.
  • Tag and identify scaffolds according to inspection status and site requirements.
  • Accept reject or restrict access to scaffolds based on inspection findings.
  • Maintain scaffold inspection registers tags checklists and corrective-action records.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and ensure defective or unauthorized scaffolds are removed from service.
  • Coordinate with Scaffolders Construction Instrumentation ICSS Operations HSE and contractors.
  • Verify scaffolds provide safe access for instrument/ICSS installation maintenance testing and commissioning.
  • Monitor corrective actions and verify re-inspection and safe release after rectification.
  • Ensure compliance with approved scaffolding standards Company requirements PTW and HSE procedures.

Requirements:

To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:

  • Valid recognized scaffolding inspection/trade competency certification for the assigned grade and task.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Oil & Gas or comparable industrial facilities including at least 3 years as a Scaffolding Inspector.
  • Proven competency in scaffold inspection tagging access foundations ties bracing and load classes.
  • Knowledge of scaffold components erection requirements working platforms guardrails ladders and access systems.
  • Experience inspecting scaffolds in Oil & Gas process plants or other high-risk industrial environments.
  • Ability to identify structural defects unsafe conditions overloading inadequate access and unauthorized modifications.
  • Familiarity with scaffolding procedures site requirements PTW and HSE standards.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inspection records tags registers and corrective-action documentation.
  • Strong coordination with Construction HSE Operations Instrumentation ICSS and contractors.
  • Valid site authorization and task-specific certification where required.
