Job Summary

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned Rigger to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing inspecting connecting and controlling loads during lifting operations in accordance with approved lift plans rigging procedures and site safety requirements. Ensure safe handling and movement of equipment and materials supporting construction instrumentation and ICSS activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute rigging and lifting activities in accordance with approved lift plans and instructions.
  • Select suitable slings shackles hooks lifting accessories and rigging equipment for the load.
  • Inspect rigging equipment for damage wear defects certification and safe working load (SWL) before use.
  • Secure and connect loads using approved rigging methods and lifting points.
  • Guide load movement using standard hand signals radios and clear communication with crane operators.
  • Control loads during lifting slewing positioning and lowering to prevent swinging collision or uncontrolled movement.
  • Establish and maintain exclusion zones and prevent unauthorized access to lifting areas.
  • Verify load stability balance clearances and potential obstructions before and during lifts.
  • Support the movement and positioning of instruments ICSS equipment panels cable drums and other materials.
  • Stop lifting activities and report unsafe conditions equipment defects or deviations from the approved lift plan.
  • Maintain proper storage handling and traceability of rigging equipment and accessories.
  • Coordinate with the Lifting Supervisor Lifting Engineer crane operator banksman and work crews.
  • Comply with PTW JSA lifting procedures HSE requirements and site rules.

Requirements:

To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:

  • Valid rigging trade/competency certificate for the assigned grade and task; site authorization as required.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Oil & Gas or comparable industrial facilities including at least 3 years as a Rigger.
  • Proven competency in rigging load handling slings shackles hooks and lifting accessories.
  • Knowledge of safe working load (SWL) working load limits (WLL) load balance and center of gravity.
  • Ability to interpret approved lift plans rigging arrangements and lifting instructions.
  • Competency in hand signals radio communication load control and exclusion-zone management.
  • Experience supporting industrial equipment installation and material handling in Oil & Gas or process plant environments.
  • Knowledge of pre-use equipment inspections defect reporting and rigging equipment identification.
  • Strong awareness of dropped-object prevention pinch points suspended-load hazards and lifting safety.
  • Good coordination with lifting teams Construction Instrumentation ICSS Operations and HSE.
  • Valid task-specific certification and site authorization where required.
