Job Summary

  • Review and follow up on suspicious cases escalated by the Financial Operations Monitoring Team Liaison Officers branch departments and other bank units.

  • Conduct assessments and investigations of suspicious cases in accordance with approved investigation procedures and methodologies.

  • Maintain records of suspicious cases that do not meet the reporting threshold ensuring proper documentation and compliance with internal requirements.

  • Review and monitor customers flagged within the Siron AML system and assess associated risks and activities.

  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly reports submitted to the Head of Reporting in line with approved reporting standards.

  • Escalate cases requiring regulatory reporting to the Investigations Unit Supervisor for review and further action.

  • Submit investigation findings and case assessments to the Investigations Unit Supervisor for review and approval of the necessary actions.

  • Conduct investigations and due diligence reviews on customers identified through Excel files received from external entities including K2 Visa and other regulatory authorities.

  • Conduct investigations on customers referenced in official communications issued by the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Office.

  • Perform investigations and reviews of customers identified in Spotfire reports generated from the banks customer database.

  • Conduct investigations on companies identified in auction company reports across various sectors related to the foreign currency sales window.

  • Carry out periodic internal and external field visits to assess the effectiveness of the AML/CFT environment and prepare related assessment reports.

  • Prepare monthly reports covering the activities and achievements of the Investigations Unit and submit them to the Investigations Supervisor.

  • Respond to inquiries received from branches and other bank departments regarding AML-related matters.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of AML/CFT awareness and educational materials across the bank.


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Banking & Finance Accounting Finance or a related field.  AML PDF
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking AML compliance investigations or a related field.
