Job Summary

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a seasoned ICSS Specialist to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The Specialist shall provide specialist engineering troubleshooting maintenance and modification support for Emerson Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) within the assigned facilities.

The role shall ensure high availability reliability and integrity of Emerson DCS/SIS platforms (DeltaV & SIS) associated controllers I/O networks engineering stations operator interfaces historians and system interfaces while maintaining configuration control and approved software baselines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist Emerson DCS/SIS troubleshooting diagnostics and fault resolution.
  • Troubleshoot controllers I/O system hardware engineering/operator stations and communication networks.
  • Manage approved system configuration logic graphics alarms interlocks and Cause & Effect modifications under MOC/change control.
  • Diagnose DCS/SIS networks and interfaces with PLC F&G SCADA historians and third-party systems.
  • Perform system backups restoration recovery and configuration baseline management.
  • Support hardware/software maintenance upgrades replacements and migrations.
  • Lead/support FAT SAT loop checks functional testing commissioning and post-maintenance verification.
  • Maintain configuration databases application files and software baselines ensuring system integrity and controlled access.
  • Investigate recurring failures conduct RCA and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Support ICSS cybersecurity and configuration management requirements.
  • Coordinate with Emerson/OEM support for complex faults upgrades and specialist interventions.
  • Maintain technical reports test records backups change records failure reports and CMMS/Work Order documentation.
  • Ensure all modifications comply with MOC authorization testing and change-control procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to ICSS/DCS engineers and technicians.
  • Support emergency ICSS recovery and restoration to minimize plant downtime.

Requirements:

To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Control Electrical Electronics Engineering or a related discipline; equivalent specialist qualification may be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in oil & gas petrochemical or comparable industrial facilities including at least 5 years specializing in Emerson DCS/SIS platforms.
  • Advanced experience in Emerson DeltaV & SIS engineering configuration diagnostics troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of controllers I/O systems engineering/operator stations ICSS networks and communication interfaces.
  • Experience with DCS/SIS logic graphics alarms interlocks Cause & Effect and third-party interfaces.
  • Proven capability in system backup/restore disaster recovery configuration and software baseline management.
  • Experience with FAT/SAT commissioning loop checking functional testing and controlled system modifications.
  • Knowledge of MOC change management system integrity and applicable cybersecurity requirements.
  • Strong skills in RCA reliability improvement emergency recovery and fault resolution.
  • Ability to coordinate with Emerson/OEM technical support and provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians.
  • Proficiency in CMMS technical documentation test records and maintenance reporting.
  • Emerson/OEM platform training and certification is highly desirable.
