CAD Drafter
Job Summary
INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing updating and controlling engineering drawings and as-built documentation using approved CAD software. Ensure drawings accurately reflect approved engineering information field mark-ups company standards and revision requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and revise 2D engineering drawings from approved designs mark-ups and field information.
- Develop and update P&IDs loop drawings wiring/termination drawings layouts and cable route drawings.
- Incorporate approved redlines field changes and as-built information accurately.
- Maintain drawing layers symbols line types scales title blocks and CAD standards.
- Ensure drawings comply with Company drafting conventions project standards and approved templates.
- Verify drawing information for accuracy consistency completeness and constructability.
- Maintain drawing registers revision status file naming and document control requirements.
- Coordinate with Instrument ICSS Electrical Civil Mechanical Engineering and Document Control teams.
- Support preparation of construction installation commissioning and handover drawings.
- Update drawings following MOC approved design changes site surveys and field verification.
- Maintain controlled CAD files and ensure superseded revisions are properly identified and archived.
- Prepare final as-built drawings and controlled deliverables for project closeout.
- Comply with Company procedures document control HSE quality and project requirements.
Requirements:
To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:
- Technical Diploma/Certificate in Drafting Engineering Graphics or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience producing engineering drawings in Oil & Gas or comparable industrial facilities.
- Strong proficiency in approved 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD or equivalent.
- Experience with P&IDs loop diagrams wiring/termination drawings layouts and cable routing.
- Good understanding of instrumentation and engineering drawing conventions.
- Experience incorporating redlines field mark-ups surveys and as-built information.
- Knowledge of layers blocks symbols title blocks scales revision control and CAD standards.
- Ability to maintain accurate drawing registers revisions and controlled document records.
- Experience coordinating with Engineering Construction Instrumentation ICSS Electrical and Document Control.
- Strong attention to detail drawing accuracy organization and document control skills.
