Job Summary
A Global Supplier Quality Engineer is a specialized professional who works with suppliers to improve quality standards within the supply chain.
Their primary mission is to ensure that all raw materials components and services purchased from external suppliers meet the companys quality reliability and regulatory standards by proactively managing supplier quality systems inspecting work in progress and conducting root cause analysis of
issues identified to mitigate future concerns.

Selection of New Supplier:
Auditing and evaluating potential new suppliers quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001 and Other global standards) and technical capabilities check before approved.
Supplier Audits:
Conducting regular on-site and remote audits of existing suppliers to ensure they maintain quality standards and comply with specifications.
Continuous Improvement:
Working collaboratively with suppliers to drive process improvements reduce variation and enhance overall performance.

Supplier Selection:
Work with commercial team on supplier recommendation and risk mitigation plans including FMEA.
Non-Conformance Management: Leading the response when a quality issue is found with supplied parts. This includes:
Containing the problem (e.g. sorting quarantine).
Performing root cause analysis (using tools like 8D 5-Whys Fishbone Diagrams).
Verifying the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR): Formally issuing SCARs to suppliers and tracking them to closure.
Containing the problem (e.g. sorting quarantine).
Performing root cause analysis (using tools like 8D 5-Whys Fishbone Diagrams).

Reviewing Drawings & Specifications: Working with internal engineering teams to ensure supplier requirements are clear unambiguous and measurable.
Process Validation: Approving a suppliers critical manufacturing processes.
Statistical Analysis: Using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis to monitor supplier performance and process capability.
