Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team in a full-time remote capacity supporting projects aligned with US time zones. This position plays a critical role in strengthening the organizations internal structural engineering capabilities while collaborating with external consultants where required.
The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural designs coordinating within a multidisciplinary environment and supporting projects across commercial healthcare and institutional sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare design and deliver structural engineering drawings and construction documentation including stamped drawings where applicable
Perform structural analysis calculations and system design ensuring safety efficiency and compliance with project requirements
Develop foundation designs based on geotechnical data soil conditions occupancy classifications and structural systems
Collaborate closely with architectural teams during the early design phase to establish structural systems grid layouts and lateral force-resisting strategies
Coordinate structural scope within a BIM environment (Revit) and actively participate in interdisciplinary coordination efforts with architectural and MEP teams
Review and process shop drawings RFIs submittals and construction documentation during the construction administration phase
Liaise with geotechnical consultants to validate assumptions and refine foundation design approaches
Conduct site observations (virtual or in-person as required) to assess structural work and ensure compliance with approved construction documents
Contribute to the development and standardization of engineering practices design details and technical specifications
Support business development initiatives including preparation of technical proposals and participation in client presentations where required
Ensure adherence to applicable codes standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil Structural or Architectural Engineering (Masters degree preferred)
Minimum 4 years of relevant structural engineering experience
Proven experience in commercial institutional or healthcare projects within an AEC environment
Demonstrated proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for structural design and documentation
Experience with industry-standard structural analysis software such as RISA RAM ETABS or equivalent
Strong understanding of structural systems including:
Structural steel
Reinforced and precast concrete
Masonry
Light-gauge steel and timber construction
Working knowledge of US building codes standards and regulations
Prior exposure to healthcare or vibration-sensitive environments will be beneficial
