About the Job:

The Red Hat Lightspeed Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to join this role you will use your software development expertise to contribute to Security and Operations services on . As a Software Engineer you will collaborate with a distributed engineering team to ensure Red Hat solutions reach customers in a timely fashion with excellent quality.

What you will do

• End to end delivery of the application:

  • Design implement and deliver new features including coordinating contributions with other developers in the team

  • Testing of features and bug fixing including implementation of automation.

• Technical project contribution by fixing defects reviewing pull requests and writing unit / integration test cases and automated tests

• Collaborate with a globally distributed development team including mentoring junior developers

• Demo the developed features with all stakeholders

• Participate in AI-assisted code reviews utilizing tools that provide real-time feedback identify potential bugs security vulnerabilities and adherence to coding standards contributing to a more thorough and efficient review process.

• Opportunity to work on Frontend in React

What you will bring

• Degree in computer science or equivalent experience

• 2 years of object-oriented development experience

• Excellent English communication (written and verbal)

• Programming experience in Golang/

• Experience using REST APIs

• Experience with relational databases like Postgres

The following are considered a plus:

• Linux/Git: Experience designing solutions on Linux servers (RHEL CentOS or Fedora) and developing with Git.

• Data & Architecture: Expertise with message queues (e.g. Kafka) and observability tools (Prometheus Grafana structured logging).

• Security & Testing: Familiarity with writing and running various tests (unit integration E2E) testing frameworks (e.g. Pytest) and security concepts (YARA rules/malware analysis).

• Development: Experience in open source development CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions) and collaborating remotely.

• Emerging Tech: Experience integrating AI/ML via LLM APIs (e.g. OpenAI Google Vertex AI). Red Hat certifications.
