Software Development Engineer II, Cross Border Seller Programs

Key job responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions across the full development lifecycle including scoping architecture coding testing deployment and ongoing operations ensuring high-quality and maintainable outcomes.
- Collaborate with customers stakeholders and cross-functional peers to understand business and customer needs translating requirements into well-structured technical designs that balance scalability performance and security.
- Identify and resolve root causes of operational issues driving permanent fixes and continuously improving your teams operational health and software reliability.
- Mentor and coach fellow engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing raising the overall quality bar and helping new team members ramp up effectively.
- Evaluate modern tools and approachesincluding generative AI capabilitiesto improve development productivity code quality and the overall customer experience.

A day in the life
Your morning might start with a design discussion whiteboarding a new feature with your team and thinking through tradeoffs around scalability and maintainability. After lunch you could be deep in codewriting reviewing or pairing with a teammate on a tricky problem. Later you might investigate an operational metric that looks off trace it to its root cause and implement a fix. Throughout it all you will be learning asking questions and sharing what you know with the engineers around you.

- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3 years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development Release or Live Ops) experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
