Role	Snowflake Data Engineer
Location	Chennai (Hybrid)

What awaits you/ Job Profile	Design build and manage scalable data solutions on the Snowflake platform. Work with Snowflake data structures focusing on performance tuning query optimization and efficient resource usage. Support data migration and integration across cloud-based data platforms. Optimizesystem performance and cost by improving data pipelines and warehouse usage. Manage andmaintainsecure data environments using proper access control and governance practices. Work across multiple environmentsensuring smooth deployments and consistency. Collaborate with teams to ensure reliable high-performance data solutions that meet business needs. Mentor and guide junior developers conduct code reviews and enforce best practices. Understanding deployment processes and system operations. Incident handling andenvironmentstability. Coordination with external operations teams. Support in decommissioning migration and environment readiness.
Whatshouldyoubringalong	Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Understandingdata lifecycle integration patterns and best practices. Proactive approach toidentifyingissues and improving data processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Domain background in Financial Services/banking. Goodunderstanding of Data Quality processesmethodsand project lifecycle.
Must have technical skill	Expertisewith Snowflake tools such asSnow SQLSnow pipe and ETL data pipelines. Experience in migrating data from RDBMS to Snowflake cloud data warehouse. Ability to develop test and deploy scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on Snowflake. Experience managing Snowflake objects like tables views stages streams and tasks with focus on performance and cost optimization. Experience monitoring troubleshooting andoptimizingSnowflake workloads and DBT models. Knowledge of Snowflake features like data sharing event-based processing andLakehousearchitecture. Understanding of data security access control and data governance in Snowflake. Experience validating ETL processes and writing SQL queries for data verification. Strong knowledge of data warehousing (DWH/ODS) ETL concepts and datamodellingprinciples. Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Good to have skills	Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern architectures (Lakehouse data lakes). Knowledge of ETL/ELT tools or frameworks (DBT Informatica Azure Data Factory etc.). Basic understanding of data security compliance and governance practices. Experience with monitoring and logging tools for performance tracking. Exposure toscripting languages like Python for automation.
