Senior Engineer QA QC
Job Summary
A Quality Engineer (Site Engineer / Senior Engineer QA / QC) in real estate ensures construction projects adhere to structural technical and safety standards by implementing quality control systems conducting site inspections and managing documentation. They verify materials check structural/finishing works against drawings and drive corrective actions for non-conformities to ensure high-quality compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
- Quality Assurance & Control: Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures ensuring compliance with IS codes National Building Code (NBC) and project specifications.
- Site Inspections & Material Testing: Conduct regular inspections of civil structural MEP and finishing works (waterproofing painting tiling). Verify quality of incoming materials (cement steel sand) and maintain material test reports (MTCs) cube tests and slump tests.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain review and update Quality Management Systems (QMS) Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify document and report deviations (NCRs) and ensure timely rectification.
- Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate with contractors project managers and vendors to ensure quality standards. Prepare daily/monthly quality reports and dashboards for management.
Key Requirements
- Education: B.E./ or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Generally 410 years in construction quality control.
- Skills: Proficiency in reading structural/architectural drawings knowledge of NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Certifications: Knowledge of ISO standards is often preferred.
