- Perform statistical analysis and predictive modeling to forecast equipment performance maintenance needs and production outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define data requirements improve data collection processes and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend data-backed solutions to improve design manufacturing and testing processes.
- Automate repetitive data tasks using SQL Python or R to increase reporting efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Support root cause analysis for engineering failures or performance deviations by analyzing historical and real-time data.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders translating complex data into clear actionable insights.

Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Civil or related field) Computer Science Statistics or a quantitative discipline.
- 25 years of experience in data analysis preferably within an engineering manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets; experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL).
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI or Looker.
- Hands-on experience with Python or R for data manipulation statistical analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with Excel at an advanced level including pivot tables macros and VBA.
- Understanding of engineering data types (e.g. sensor data CAD outputs test results) and data lifecycle management.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment in Pune.
