The opportunity:
Join Hitachi Energys India Development Centre (IDC) an R&D organization in Chennai and Bangalore. You will work
with global R&D and research centers across 12 countries. You will help design and deliver digital solutions and product
capabilities. You will build modern secure high-performing user interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional
teams contribute to engineering best practices and mentor other developers.

How youll make an impact:

• Design write and optimize complex PostgreSQL queries including stored functions triggers views joins and window functions.

• Improve database performance through index tuning query plan analysis and partitioning when needed.

• Build backend services using C#/.NET and/or Python integrated with PostgreSQL.

• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs using Hasura on top of PostgreSQL.

• Build REST and GraphQL endpoints with validations and structured responses.

• Apply strong transaction handling error control and concurrency management. Write unit integration and database tests and document SQL routines backend logic and API schemas.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your Background:

• Required experience: 4 - 6 years working with relational databases with deep expertise in PostgreSQL.

• Strong experience with PL/pgSQL stored routines triggers window functions query tuning and indexing strategies.

• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL locking deadlocks and concurrency/isolation levels.

• Required 5 years developing backend applications with C#/.NET and/or Python. 2 years working with GraphQL and Hasura on PostgreSQL.

• Strong understanding of REST API design and backend architecture.

• Experience using Git and standard development workflows.
