We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer - Plotted Development to plan coordinate execute and monitor infrastructure and development works for plotted development projects.
The candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of site development activities including internal roads storm-water drainage water supply sewerage electrical infrastructure landscaping boundary works and other external development works ensuring completion within approved timelines budgets quality standards safety requirements and statutory guidelines.
The role requires strong hands-on experience in site execution infrastructure development contractor management quantity/cost monitoring quality control and coordination with consultants and statutory authorities.
- Plan and coordinate day-to-day execution of plotted development and infrastructure works.
- Prepare project execution schedules work plans and activity-wise timelines.
- Monitor progress against approved project schedules and identify delays or bottlenecks.
- Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate multiple site activities simultaneously and ensure smooth execution.
Manage and monitor execution of:
- Internal roads and access roads
- Earthwork excavation and filling
- Site grading and levelling
- Storm-water drainage systems
- Sewerage and sewage networks
- Water supply pipelines and distribution
- Electrical infrastructure and cabling
- Street lighting
- Rainwater harvesting systems
- Utility trenches
- Boundary walls / fencing
- Landscaping and green areas
- Entrance gates and common infrastructure
- Other external development works associated with plotted projects
- Coordinate and manage civil contractors infrastructure contractors vendors and subcontractors.
- Allocate work fronts and monitor manpower machinery and material deployment.
- Review contractor work programmes and ensure timely execution.
- Monitor contractor performance against agreed scope quality cost and timelines.
- Resolve site-level issues and coordinate with contractors for corrective actions.
- Verify work measurements and support certification of contractor bills.
- Ensure construction and infrastructure works comply with approved drawings specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify quality deviations.
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors for rectification of defects.
- Ensure appropriate testing of materials and completed works.
- Maintain quality records inspection reports and relevant project documentation.
- Monitor project quantities material consumption and execution costs.
- Review BOQs estimates and contractor measurements.
- Assist in preparation and evaluation of project estimates.
- Track actual expenditure against approved project budgets.
- Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective measures.
- Verify contractor RA bills and work completion measurements.
- Review civil and infrastructure drawings before execution.
- Coordinate with architects structural consultants MEP consultants and other technical consultants.
- Ensure drawings and technical specifications are available at site before commencement of work.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
- Coordinate revisions and ensure latest approved drawings are followed.
- Ensure site development activities comply with applicable approvals project conditions and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with liaisoning teams and relevant authorities wherever required.
- Monitor compliance with environmental safety and local development requirements.
- Maintain records of approvals inspections permissions and statutory documentation.
- Ensure contractors follow approved safety practices and site safety procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety risks.
- Coordinate with safety teams and contractors to address unsafe practices.
- Ensure appropriate PPE barricading signage and safe working conditions are maintained.
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Track planned versus actual progress.
- Highlight delays risks cost issues and resource requirements to management.
- Maintain project trackers for civil infrastructure and external development works.
- Participate in project review meetings and provide technical updates.
- Coordinate completion of infrastructure and common development works.
- Prepare punch lists and ensure timely closure of pending works.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning of infrastructure systems.
- Ensure as-built drawings and completion documentation are maintained.
- Support final inspection and project handover.
