We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Production Support Engineer to support manufacturing operations by ensuring smooth production processes minimizing downtime and improving productivity. The ideal candidate will coordinate with production maintenance quality and engineering teams to resolve technical issues optimize workflows and ensure production targets are achieved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Operations
- Provide technical support to production teams during daily manufacturing activities.
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Support production planning and execution to meet delivery schedules.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address equipment breakdowns and recurring issues.
- Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Process Improvement
- Analyze production performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Recommend and implement productivity improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing Kaizen 5S and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor process parameters and maintain production efficiency standards.
- Support automation and process optimization projects when required.
Quality & Compliance
- Work closely with the Quality team to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
- Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly production reports.
- Maintain production records process documentation and technical reports.
- Track key production KPIs such as efficiency downtime rejection rates and productivity.
- Provide status updates and technical reports to management.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Production Maintenance Quality Planning and Supply Chain teams.
- Support new product introductions and process validations.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when technical assistance is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Production Engineering Electrical Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Production Support Manufacturing Production Engineering or related roles.
- Experience working in manufacturing engineering automotive fabrication or industrial production environments.
- Knowledge of production processes troubleshooting techniques and quality systems.
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Navisworks. Proficiency in creating 3D models Piping Isometrics GA drawings and Piping -depth knowledge of Piping BOM MTO and Piping Material Specifications (PMS). Familiarity with piping support systems and basic understanding of stress analysis. Solid understanding of P&ID for boilers and power plants. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions. Strong leadership abilities to manage and guide a team towards successful project completion.
Required Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BE) with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the design stream.
