Job Summary
Position: Planning Engineer
PLACE OF POSTING: Project Site / Head Office (as per requirement)
REPORTS TO: Head - Planning Team
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering / construction management from a recognized university
- Postgraduate qualification in Planning / Project Management (Preferred)
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Industry: Real Estate / Construction / Infrastructure / High Rise Building
- Area of Experience: Project Planning Scheduling Monitoring Coordination
Years of Experience: 58 years of relevant experience in planning functions for medium to large-scale projects
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination ability across functions and levels
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated proactive and a good team player
- Strong organizational and time management skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development of detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Coordinate with design execution procurement and other departments to gather project requirements and timelines
- Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and highlight variances
- Prepare project reports look-ahead schedules and update stakeholders on progress
- Assist in resource planning and cost control analysis
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs project milestones and contractual deliverables
- Participate in weekly/monthly review meetings and prepare MIS reports
- Identify delays bottlenecks and propose corrective actions to keep the project on track
- Maintain documentation and records for planning correspondence and approvals
