Medical Coding Trainer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs in Medical Coding including ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS coding systems.
• Prepare and maintain course materials including syllabus lesson plans and assessments.
• Provide hands-on training and real-world examples to help students understand and apply coding principles.
• Monitor student progress provide feedback and offer additional support as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and coding guidelines to ensure curriculum relevance.
• Assist in the evaluation and improvement of training programs based on student feedback and industry needs.
• Support students in obtaining relevant certifications and career placement opportunities.
• Conduct interactive training sessions on medical coding systems and industry best practices.
• Prepare training materials presentations and practical coding assignments.
• Mentor and guide students addressing their queries and challenges.
• Evaluate students performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with changes in coding regulations and healthcare guidelines.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical coding and/or medical billing.
• Prior experience as a trainer or educator is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 CPT and HCPCS coding systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
• Proficiency in using training tools and technologies.
• Certification in medical coding (CPC CCS COC or equivalent).
• Proven experience in medical coding and training.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
