Meet the team:
As a member of the Engineering Tools team you will enable multidisciplinary Engineering teams by supporting design and drafting of components fixtures and assemblies. Youll work across CAD Design PLM and Technical Writing activities to enable the research and development of Dexcoms products.
Where you come in:
- You will support design and drafting activities using SolidWorks and Onshape contributing to the development of injectionmolded parts fixtures and electromechanical assemblies.
- You will prepare modify and release drawing packages into the PLM system ensuring accuracy completeness and alignment with engineering and quality requirements.
- You will help ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) by following established processes and contributing to continuous improvement of documentation and workflows.
- You will perform CAD administration support including drawing reviews approvals and enforcement of modeling drafting and data standards to maintain high data integrity.
- You will troubleshoot CAD models and drawings partnering closely with engineers to resolve design configuration and release issues efficiently.
- You will assist with the maintenance and improvement of CAD libraries templates and standards used across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- You will support CAD migration activities including transition efforts from SolidWorks to Onshape helping ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption to engineering workflows.
What makes you successful:
- You bring handson experience with SolidWorks including part modeling assemblies and detailed drawings; experience with SolidWorks PDM or similar PDM/PLM systems is preferred.
- You have experience supporting mechanical design and drafting for hardware products with familiarity designing or documenting injectionmolded parts fixtures and electromechanical assemblies.
- You have formal training or education in Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Design or a related discipline with a solid understanding of hardware development and product lifecycle processes.
- You have a working understanding of drawing release workflows configuration control and documentation practices in regulated or qualitydriven environments.
- You possess strong communication and problemsolving skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with engineers quality manufacturing and IT partners.
- You demonstrate an eye for process improvement with an interest in standardization efficiency gains and opportunities for automation within engineering workflows.
- Experience with Onshape is a plus especially in environments transitioning from traditional CAD tools along with exposure to CAD data migration or platform adoption efforts.

Typically requires a Bachelors degreein technical discipline and a minimum
of 3-5 years related experience ormasters degree and 2 yearsequivalent industry experience or a PhDand 0-2 years experience
