Position Description:
35 years of strong hands-on experience in mainframe development using COBOL JCL DB2 IMS DB/DC SORT and mainframe utilities (IDCAMS FILE-AID TSO/ISPF etc.)
Proven ability to work independently on end-to-end development tasks with minimal guidance.
Solid experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) including user stories sprint deliverables and tools like Jira/Rally/Confluence
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) able to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders document clearly and present solutions
Good understanding of mainframe concepts: VSAM GDG datasets and abend handling
Experience with version control/change management tools (Endevor/ChangeMan/ISpw) and testing/debug tools (Xpediter/InterTest).

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Understanding business requirements
Performing impact analysis
Designing Coding Unit testing Issue fix and resolution
Coordinating with Clients and stakeholders
Debug online and batch code using Xpeditor

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:

Strong experience in COBOL
Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language)
Hands-on experience with VSAM
Good knowledge of DB2
Experience with IMS DB/DC

Good-to-Have Skills:

Basic knowledge of SORT and mainframe utilities (IDCAMS FILE-AID TSO/ISPF)
Familiarity with version control tools like Endevor ChangeMan or ISPW
Experience with debugging tools such as Xpediter or InterTest
