Job Purpose (1-2 Lines)

Experienced and highly motivatedscientistto design developoptimize and execute in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays in support of drug discovery for generating high-quality data troubleshooting assays analyzing results communicating to stakeholders and collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrophysiology assays patch clamping
• Design developoptimize execute and troubleshoot biochemical and cell-based assays

• Independently perform experiments and generate high-quality reproducible data.

• Compound screening profiling and mechanism-of-action studies in multiple therapeutic areas
• Analysis and interpretation of experimental data
• Presentation and communication of data to stakeholders
• Following Syngenes data quality integrity and EHSS guidelines

• Maintainaccuratedocumentation andcomply withquality data integrity and EHSS standards

Educational Qualification: Masters in pharmacology / life sciences/ biotechnology/ biological engineering

Experience: 5-8 years of working in drug discovery industry

Technical/functional Skills:

1. Strong experience in mammalian cell culture
2. Electrophysiology patch clamping
3. Hands-onexpertisein biochemical and cell-based assay design and development.
4. Plate-based assays immunofluorescence/ high content imaging microscopy and automation
5. Proficiencyin GraphPad Prism or similar tools for basic data analysis
6. Experience with primary cells and/or iPSC-derived cellular models.

Behavioral Skills: Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills high attention to detail and commitment to data quality excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good presentation skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet aggressive project timelines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team. Must demonstrate integrity accountability and scientific curiosity.
