As a Lead Mechanical Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the design analysis and optimization of components across our gas power portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional global teams to deliver high-quality solutions drive product upgrades and ensure our designs meet rigorous performance and safety standards. This role requires a balance of technical ownership innovative problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis (stress modal lifing) for assigned components in gas turbines steam generators and accessory systems.
• Technical Stewardship: Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; and evaluate designs for factors like thermal growth manufacturing variation and assembly stack-up to ensure optimal product behavior.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering experts manufacturing and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to improve reliability quality and yield. Apply Lean principles to streamline processes and drive innovation.
• Project Delivery: Manage milestones through formal/informal technical reviews ensuring compliance with NPI processes and design practices.
• Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment by coaching team members and building strong relationships with key stakeholders including Principal and Chief Engineers.

What Youll Bring - Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience.

• Additional 1-2 years of relevant engineering experience
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Technical proficiency in engineering software (ANSYS NX) and programming languages (Python Excel VBA) for data analysis.
