Your future duties and responsibilities
Job Overview:
CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Data Scientist with strong expertise in Gen AI to build and manage scalable efficient and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. Youll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights working closely with data scientists analysts and business teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

6 years of AI/ data science experience (or an advanced degree in a related field)
Strong programming skills in Python with proficiency in libraries such as Pandas NumPy scikit-learn gradient-boosted decision trees and neural networks
Deep knowledge of statistical analysis hypothesis testing and data-driven decision-making.
Proven experience building training and validating ML models including regression classification time series forecasting and recommendation systems
Experience integrating ML models/AI/Gen AI solutions into production systems.
Solid experience with Data Manipulation Data Wrangling including data ingestion and preparation feature engineering analysis and modeling model deployment performance tracking and documentation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Familiarity with large datasets distributed computing tools (e.g. Spark Hadoop) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI matplotlib seaborn).
Experience building RAG based systems AI agents LLM-driven systems or autonomous workflows. Knowledge of chunking strategies
Generative and Agentic AI Frameworks like Langchain Langgraph/CrewAI etc
A systems-thinking mindset that connects AI models data pipelines and operational workflows end-to-end.
Evaluation frameworks (offline online)
Experience with hallucination mitigation guardrails fallback strategies

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex data analysis insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Desired Skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior engineers and product leaders.
Knowledge of OpenAI embedding models; Cohere Voyage AI etc
Experience with Knowledge Graps GraphRAG
Strong understanding of AI-assisted development tooling and productivity optimization.
Experience designing multi-step reasoning workflows and autonomous decision agents.
Expertise with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing causal inference) and strategic analysis
