Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong backend development and L2 production support experience to design develop deploy and support scalable cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services using and Java.
Build scalable secure and highly available applications on AWS.
Develop REST APIs Microservices and distributed applications.
Work with Kafka Amazon SQS/SNS RabbitMQ and event-driven architectures.
Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases queries indexes and data access patterns.
Implement resilient distributed-system patterns such as retry timeout circuit breaker and idempotency.
Develop unit integration API and component tests.
Provide L2 application and production support for critical applications.
Troubleshoot production issues using logs metrics traces CloudWatch dashboards and database queries.
Investigate API failures performance issues database connectivity messaging failures and integrations.
Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka consumers SQS queues SNS DLQs and failed/retried messages.
Perform RCA for recurring and high-severity incidents and implement permanent fixes.
Support production releases hotfixes rollbacks and post-deployment validation.
Create and maintain runbooks troubleshooting guides KB articles and operational procedures.
Improve monitoring alerts and dashboards to reduce MTTD and MTTR.
Participate in major incident management and on-call support.
Collaborate with DevOps/SRE L1/L3 DBA infrastructure network security and vendor teams.
Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions and mentor junior engineers.
