Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned hands on Lead / Senior DevOps & Platform Engineer to drive the architecture automation scalability and observability of our hybrid cloud and container this role you will lead the implementation of enterprise grade Kubernetes and OpenShift environments automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) build resilient CI/CD pipelines and design robust observability frameworks.
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between infrastructure automation and software development possessing strong systems engineering expertise combined with programming capabilities in Golang and Python to build custom platform tooling operators and integration services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Engineering & Container Orchestration

. Architect provision maintain and upgrade multi tenant enterprise container platforms using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
. Package deploy and manage applications using Helm charts and Kubernetes Operators.
. Implement platform level high availability load balancing (HAProxy Keepalived) disaster recovery snapshot policies and multi cluster backup routines.
. Manage API Gateways and traffic ingress (e.g. Kong Gateway DECk configuration automation).

2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud Operations

. Design and maintain automated infrastructure blueprints across public cloud (AWSEKS EC2 ALB/NLB Route 53 S3 CloudFront) and on premise/private cloud virtualization platforms (Apache CloudStack or VMware).
. Implement configuration management and deployment automation at scale using Terraform and Ansible.
. Drive self healing architecture and operational stability across Linux server fleets.

3. Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

. Design build and maintain enterprise grade CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Master Slave high availability architectures and Groovy pipeline scripts) GitLab CI or Bitbucket Pipelines.
. Integrate code quality gates automated security checks and vulnerability scanning (SonarQube Nexus JFrog Artifactory).
. Implement automated release rollback and Canary/Blue Green deployment patterns across microservices architectures (Spring Boot Go React and middleware workloads).

4. Custom Automation & Internal Tooling Development

. Develop custom CLI utilities microservices and internal APIs using Golang and Python to extend platform automation and integrate disparate enterprise systems.
. Integrate distributed event streaming and object storage platforms (e.g. Apache Kafka MinIO AMQ Streams).
. Automate operational workflows across ITSM and ticketing ecosystems (JIRA ServiceNow REST APIs).

5. Observability Monitoring & Reliability

. Establish end to end monitoring distributed tracing and centralized log aggregation architectures using Splunk Prometheus Grafana and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch Filebeat/Logstash Kibana).
. Build proactive alerting mechanisms SLO/SLI tracking and executive dashboards to provide actionable operational insights.
. Troubleshoot complex distributed production incidents across networking virtualization container runtimes and application layers.
Qualifications and Skills:
. Containerization & Orchestration: Deep expertise with Docker Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift cluster deployment and lifecycle management.
. Infrastructure as Code & Configuration: Extensive experience with Ansible playbook/role creation and Terraform module development.
. Programming & Scripting: Strong programming proficiency in Golang (Go) and Python with advanced Linux shell/Bash scripting and Groovy pipeline authoring.
. CI/CD & Toolchain: Demonstrated mastery of Jenkins (including distributed build node administration) Git branching strategies (GitLab Bitbucket) and artifact management (Nexus JFrog).
. Monitoring & Log Analytics: Hands on experience configuring and building dashboards in Splunk Prometheus/Grafana and ELK / Filebeat.
. Cloud & Virtualization: Practical experience with AWS core services (EKS VPC IAM S3 EC2) and virtualization technologies (e.g. Apache CloudStack KVM or OpenStack).
. Distributed Systems & Middleware: Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka) object stores (MinIO) reverse proxies/gateways (Kong HAProxy) and application runtimes (Tomcat WebLogic).
. Operating Systems: Advanced administration performance tuning and troubleshooting of enterprise Linux distributions (RHEL CentOS Ubuntu).
Professional Qualifications
. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
. 6 years of relevant experience in a dedicated DevOps SRE or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering role.
. Proven track record of automating complex multi environment deployments and driving platform reliability.

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications
. Professional certifications such as:
. Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift / RHCA / RHCE
. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Application Developer (CKAD)
. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Professional
. HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
. Hands on experience with Service Mesh (Istio) and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD or Flux).
. Proven participation in technical hackathons open source initiatives or engineering excellence awards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
. Deployment Frequency & Lead Time for Changes: Driving fast stable CI/CD pipelines from commit to production.
. Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR): Rapid triage root cause analysis and resolution of platform level outages.
. Platform Availability & Uptime: Maintaining high availability across Kubernetes/OpenShift and cloud infrastructure.
. Automation Coverage: Continual reduction of manual toil through Ansible Terraform and Go/Python automation.
. First Time Right Rate: Reduction of configuration drift and defect rates across pre production and production releases.
