Concept Engineer Interior & Change Management

What awaits you/ Job Profile

You will be responsible for the CAD design and concept development of Interior components ( IP Console Door Trim Pillar Trims Soft Trims) using various manufacturing technologies such as Injection molded parts. Your role includes ensuring fixation feasibility and assembly of parts defining and designing interfaces to neighboring components and coordinating these interfaces independently with partners.

You will be responsible for tracking change management.

You will create structured and parametric CAD models to efficiently develop synergy parts for related derivatives. Additionally you will prepare detailed drawings with all BMW release-relevant content and manage data publication and documentation in the PRISMA database. Regular collision checks and thorough documentation of changes are part of your daily tasks. You will actively contribute to integration meetings representing your scope.

What should you bring along

Strong expertise in CAD design with a focus on structured and parametric modeling

Development of parametrical CAD-models for later use in the concept development of instrument panel cross car beam center console door panels and components of interior light.

Experience in virtual vehicle development and understanding of mechanical relationships

Knowledge of common manufacturing methods for interior components

Excellent communication skills to coordinate independently with interface partners

Ability to manage and maintain data and documentation in accordance with BMW standards

Must have technical skills.

Very good skills in CATIA V5 especially in Generative Shape Design Part Design Drafting and Digital Mockup

Proficient in creating CAD models in a structured and parametric way

Good knowledge of the PRISMA database for publication and data management

Experience with collision checks and integration of special characteristics tolerances and component identification in drawings.

Good Technical skills

Familiarity with different manufacturing technologies for plastic components (Injection molded parts- No painted parts)

Understanding of fixation parts and assembly processes

Experience participating in integration meetings and interface coordination

Good to have Technical skills

• CAD Design Engineer: Extensive theoretical background knowledge in the development of interior parts. Good skills in the use of the CAD system Catia V5 an 3DX especially in terms of Generative Shape Design and Part Design. Extensive background knowledge in plastic-based manufacturing processes. Strong communication skills for coordination with interface partners.
