Position: Compensation and Benefits AccountingAssociate
POSITION SUMMARY
The Compensation and Benefits Accounting Team is a part of the Office of the CFO and Controllership organization. TheAssociatewill be a member of a team of professionals that serve as the organizational center of excellence for compensation benefits and equity plan accounting to deliver best in class accounting and support business partners with reporting and analysis. TheAssociatewillbe responsible foraccounting andreporting forcompensationbenefitsand equity plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Ensure completeaccurateandtimelymonth-end quarter-endand year-end close processes forcompensation(Various short term andlong termaward plan)benefits and equity plan accounting.
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries and adjusting entries as needed
- Prepare pre-close month over month variance analysis and explanations
- Work independently tomonitor maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts; liaisewithcross functional teamto research and resolve reconciliation exceptions
- Participateinspecial projects and ad hoc reporting
- Cross train on various accounting functions within the team
- Participate in completing and reviewing internal and external audit requirements
- Integrate newunit/award issuance;forfeiture terminationinto accounting processes and workpapers asrequired
- Assistwith researching related technical accounting or reporting issues and providetimelyaccurateand well documented guidance to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Maintain compliance with GAAP or regulatory accounting and reporting requirements
- Monitorandmaintainwritten documentation ofpolicies procedures processes and controls withinCompensation and benefit areas
- Become thoroughly familiar with assigned general ledger accountscompensation and benefit programsbusinesssegmentsandapplicabletechnical accounting areas
Required Skills:
- and MBA Finance
- CA/CPA is a preferred
- 7 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- Experience in accounting and/oraudit procedures
- Experience with financial accounting systems
- Advancedproficiencyin MS Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills proven ability to work as an effective team player and ability to collaborate
- Demonstrated strength inanalyticalandproblem solvingskills
- Ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesand achieve targeted outcomes

Preferred Skills:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
- Knowledge of compensation and benefits accounting
- Familiarity with equity plan accounting
- Working knowledge of VBA / Macros is a plusand Power BI
- Previousexperience with PeopleSoft
