Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience as a Quality Engineer / Automation Engineer in modern engineering teams.
- Handson experience with frontend test automation (Playwright WebdriverIO or similar).
- Experience testing React or modern JavaScript-based frontend applications.
- Solid experience with API and backend testing (REST APIs integration testing).
- Proficiency in automation scripting/programming (JavaScript/TypeScript Python or similar).
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of test automation frameworks as production-quality engineering code.
- Familiarity with test data management and environment dependencies.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in distributed teams.
Testing activities include:
- Functional testing
- Integration testing
- Frontend visual functional and integration testing
- Regression testing
- Contract or schema validation
- Error handling and negative testing
- Performance testing (where applicable)
- Security testing (where applicable)
Key Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain automation frameworks for frontend (React-based UIs) and backend/API testing.
- Implement shiftleft testing practices including PR reviews test design reviews and coverage analysis.
- Develop and execute integration regression and endtoend automated tests.
- Validate frontend behavior including functional correctness visual regression accessibility and analytics events.
- Perform API and backend testing including contract/schema validation and negative testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast actionable feedback.
- Ensure test code is modular reusable versioncontrolled and peerreviewed.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with Engineering Product and DevOps teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through automation optimization and innovative testing approaches.
