This role is part of Alcons Information Technology function a team that delivers cutting-edge technology solutions to Alcon associates and customers to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Associate II Software Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path) is primarily responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions as part of an engineering team while enhancing technical skills and contributing to team goals.

Specifics Include:

Write test and debug software code based on design specifications and resolve issues with existing software
Collaborate with senior engineers to improve software solutions and participate in code reviews to ensure software development best practices are followed
Expand technical knowledge by learning from more experienced team members and contribute to individual tasks within larger engineering projects
Impact software functionality and contribute to the overall quality of software systems
Make decisions on coding tasks debugging and minor technical challenges under supervision and contribute to decision-making through code reviews and feedback.

All associates must adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) maintaining accurate and complete documentation ensuring rigorous quality control and completing all required training. Associates are responsible for meeting their individual job requirements and contributing to the overall compliance of the organization. Compliance with regulatory requirements and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop andmaintainscalable and maintainable test automation frameworks using Python C# and tools likeRanorex.
• Develop and automate API test cases and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development QA and DevOps to align automation solutions with project needs.
• Implement and integrate Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks likeSpecFlowor Behave with C#.
• Promote and enforce automation best practices across the team ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Continuously assess automation coverage and implement improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews contribute to test planning and document automation procedures.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior automation engineers.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in automation testing with solid exposure to framework development.
• Proficiencyin Python and C# with the ability to write clean maintainable and efficient code.
• Strong experience withRanorex API testing and BDD frameworks (SpecFlow Behave etc.).
• Hands-on experience in integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps Jenkins).
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving analytical and communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
