Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- ProvideL1 support and administration for Linux/Unix servers.
- Monitor server availability CPU memory disk utilization processes and system health.
- Perform basic troubleshooting ofLinux OS services applications and connectivity issues.
- Handle user and group administration including creation modification and access management.
- Manage file systems permissions ownership mounts and disk space.
- Start stop restart and monitor Linux services.
- Review and analyzesystem/application logs for initial issue identification.
- Perform basic troubleshooting related toSSH DNS FTP/SFTP networking and connectivity.
- Monitor scheduled jobs and troubleshootCron jobs.
- Support server patching package installation and routine maintenance activities.
- Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and operational checklists.
- Create and update incident/service requests in the ticketing system.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues toL2/L3 teams with proper troubleshooting details.
- Follow ITIL processes forIncident Request Change and Problem Management.
- Maintain operational documentation troubleshooting guides and knowledge-base articles.
- Participate in shift-based support and rotational on-call activities if required.
