Job Responsibilities

• Perform and review journal entries account reconciliations SOX internal control procedures and financial reporting.
• Review and analyze monthly financial packages from thirdparty property management companies (PMCOs) for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile general ledger account balances to the sub-ledger or supporting schedules
• Support accounting for capital transactions including acquisitions dispositions refinances and resyndications.
• Review loan draw packages for resyndicated properties to ensure all activities are properly coded to the correct projects and G/L accounts.
• Analyze monthovermonth and actual to budget variances for both balance sheet and income statement activity.
• Review annual audited financial statements for limited partnerships and coordinate with external auditors.
• Prepare and review GAAP disclosures for the companys audited financial statements.
• Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and lead implementation of improvements.
• Gather documentation and prepare responses for internal and external audit requests.
• Oversee complex accounting activities including highvolume reconciliations and financial data analysis.
• Resolve escalated issues promptly to maintain workflow continuity.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures for key accounting processes.
• Support special projects for the CFO CAO Controller and Partnership Accounting leadership.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting as needed.

What you should have:

• BA/BS in Accounting/Business/Finance
• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant with a track record of strong team and business results
• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience in both industry and public accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP including consolidations and real estate accounting
• Chartered Accountant preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Yardi FAS and realestaterelated systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in highvolume environments
• Experience in real estate or investment accounting strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment Drive and desire to learn new technologies and grow technical and functional skill sets
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
