Territory Sales Manager Medical Device Orthopedics
Job Summary
Our client is a global leader in the medical devices sector renowned for its cutting-edge orthopedic solutions and commitment to improving patient care. On their behalf we are seeking a highly motivated results-driven Senior Territory Manager to drive business growth and manage clinical relationships within a designated territory in Hungary.
This is a dynamic field-based role perfect for an ambitious professional with an ownership mindset who thrives in a high-stakes clinical environment.
- Clinical & Commercial Sales: Conduct face-to-face evidence-based selling with both clinical (surgeons OR staff) and non-clinical stakeholders (hospital procurement management).
- Active Field Presence: Spend approximately 80% of your time on the field including operating room (OR) and hospital visits roughly 4 times per week to support surgeries and showcase product utility.
- Tender Management: Act as the key owner of procurements driving the preparation offering follow-up and contracting of tender bids in close collaboration with the internal tender department.
- Market & KOL Development: Identify build and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) by specialty driving market development and growth.
- Client Support & Training: Provide expert technical support to physicians and clinical staff to ensure the proper safe and effective use of advanced medical instruments and devices.
- Business Intelligence: Monitor market trends competitor activities and regulatory changes within your territory to perform ongoing SWOT analyses and identify new business opportunities.
- Product Launches & Events: Champion the introduction of new products in line with corporate guidelines and actively participate in medical congresses workshops and professional education events.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other internal business units and functional departments to maximize broader corporate interests.
- Reporting & Compliance: Maintain disciplined daily use of internal CRM funnel management and HR platforms (such as OneForce Funnel of Life and Workday). Ensure all activities strictly align with local laws and corporate healthcare compliance standards.
- Language Skills: Fluent Hungarian and a very good command of professional English (both written and spoken) are mandatory.
- Professional Experience:
- Approximately 2 years of prior sales experience is highly advantageous.
- Previous experience operating within the medical device or healthcare field is a strong asset.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong capability to understand and explain the technicalities mechanics and clinical applications of complex medical instruments and devices.
- Core Competencies: Proactive innovative and creative approach to problem-solving; strong analytical thinking alongside excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Mobility: Valid Category B driving license and a willingness to travel extensively within the defined territory (80% field-based).
- IT Literacy: Good computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to corporate CRM pipeline and reporting software.
