Job Summary
This role is crucial in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for Direct Sourcing Tail Spend. The responsibilities include executing spot buys direct negotiations and managing project-related activities across multiple categories.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic and tactical sourcing activities for the Direct Sourcing Tail Spend.
  • Gather and analyze data using procurement spend analytics tools.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and secure deals with optimal terms for assigned categories.
  • Negotiate improved commercial conditions for the tail spend portfolio.
  • Conduct cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking to develop sourcing strategies.
  • Use market intelligence tools to research and identify potential market trends for raw materials
  • Manage multiple negotiation processes concurrently ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to enhance effectiveness and control for the Direct Sourcing Tail Spend.
  • Leverage AI tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of direct negotiations with suppliers.

Experience & Qualification

  • Over 5 years of procurement negotiation experience preferably in direct categories.
  • Proven experience as a buyer senior buyer purchasing specialist agent or officer.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering supply chain management operations or business administration required.
  • High proficiency in English both verbal and written.

Competencies:
Functional & technical skills

  • Sourcing expert with extensive experience in sourcing processes supplier management and contract negotiations.
  • Proficient in sourcing tools (e-sourcing spend analytics ERP and supplier management software).
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating agreements with suppliers to secure better commercial terms.
  • Desired: Broad experience across various Direct Sourcing Categories.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes and best practices including the use of AI tools.

  • Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances and environments. embracing new challenges and adjusting strategies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Desire to grow as a sourcing specialist and develop category expertise across Direct Sourcing Portfolios (e.g. Electrical Mechanical Packaging Lab Supplies or Chemicals).
