Where you belong
Our organization is responsible for the development and enhancement of Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) within SAP S/4HANA. You will join a dynamic new scrum team which will contribute to the success of SAPs solutions around Supply Chain Planning.

You will collaborate closely with other scrum teams and product management across various locations including Budapest Walldorf and Bangalore.
This position allows you to engage in the conceptualization design prototyping and development of core PP/DS processes providing you with a diverse and enriching work experience.
Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) in SAP S/4HANA empowers companies to easily create feasible and optimized production plans and procurement proposals. PP/DS performs finite capacity planning which means it considers real-world limitations and constraints such as available machinery capacity or raw materials.
To accelerate the improvement and modernization of our solution we are establishing a new development team in Budapest following the Harmonized Product Operating Model.
What youll build
As a developer you will participate in all phases of application development.
- Contribute to the design development and maintenance of PP/DS in SAP S/4HANA.
- Collaborate with architects product managers and team members to translate business and technology requirements into solutions.
- Ensure code quality scalability and performance through best practices and code reviews.
- Leverage agile software engineering and cloud mindset to ensure we can deliver high-quality software continuously
- Develop your own concepts and designs together with product management UX designers and architects
- Support theteam by taking over additional technical or organizational tasks
Development is carried out according to the SCRUM method and we practice a trust-based working time model that also enables mobile working ( home-office). Youll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies and tools including cutting-edge AI development assistants and agents making a significant impact on our product and its value to customers.
AI-Enhanced Development Practices:
- Utilize AI-powered development tools (Claude Code GitHub Copilot etc.) to accelerate development efficiency
- Integrate AI-assisted code review and testing automation to enhance code quality and identify potential issues early
- Leverage generative AI tools for documentation knowledge base creation and technical problem-solving
- Explore opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities and intelligent features into PP/DS solutions
- Stay current with emerging AI development methodologies and apply them to optimize development workflows
What you bring
- University degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Programming skills in at least one language like ABAP Java C or similar (3 years)
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and test automation.
- Analytical thinking problem-solving attitude and good communication skills.
- Growth mindset: eagerness to learn ABAP RAP and HANA/CDS; proactive and accountable
- Interest in new technology and eagerness to learn and apply new skills including AI development tools
- Language: good English language skills both written and spoken
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt and effectively use AI-powered development tools
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on expertise: ABAP RAP CDS OData Fiori/UI5
- Supply Chain or ERP Production Planning related business knowledge
- Experience with development principles for cloud products
- Proven experience with AI development tools (Claude Code GitHub Copilot ChatGPT or similar)
- Understanding of prompt engineering and AI tool optimization for development tasks
- Experience implementing AI/ML features or intelligent workflows in enterprise applications
- Familiarity with AI-assisted testing code generation and documentation practices
