As Senior Operations Manager in Nyíregyháza youll work closely with external Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) suppliers and internal colleagues to keep products flowing improving how work gets done every day.

Within Procurement youll lead the operational partnership with assigned EMS suppliers helping deliver LEGO electronics products through strong factory performance effective capacity and asset management and cross-functional collaboration. Supported by engineering quality planning and finance colleagues youll drive continuous improvement and build resilient high-performing supplier operations.
Role location and ways of working
This role is based in Nyíregyháza Hungary. Youll spend three to four days each week at an external supplier site located approximately one hour from LEGO Nyíregyháza Manufacturing. This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities and relocation support can be taken into consideration.
Core Responsibilities
Run endtoend EMS supplier operations balancing capacity assets and budgets to meet demand.
Work with both Equipment Integrator of the Manufacturing Line and EMS supplier to minimize downtime and improve the Automation line to prevent re-occurrence of production line issues.
Partner with crossfunctional colleagues to improve line balance automation and equipment utilization for stronger Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Lead quarterly business reviews and shape joint plans that connect cost delivery quality and sustainability priorities.
Deliver cost saving initiatives through Partners for Productivity removing inefficiencies and simplifying processes over time. This includes reviewing Operations Efficiency by improving Control Plans Sampling reducing headcount and non-value added activities.
Oversee product lifecycle changes including introductions and endoflife while coordinating supply planning and risk mitigation.
Manage the overall Budget for the assigned EMS suppliers operations including Service Maintenance Improvement projects Operational Expenses etc.
Do you have what it takes
Experience working with EMS suppliers in electronics manufacturing including Surface Mount Technology (SMT) or box build environments.
Comfortable negotiating building relationships and communicating clearly across functions and cultures.
Background in supply chain business or engineering disciplines with handson exposure to manufacturing operations in Box Build assembly (from PCBA assembly to Final Assembly) will be required.
Able to work independently set direction and follow through while supporting a diverse inclusive team dynamic.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle in a manufacturing context.
Experience collaborating across multiple countries and time zones with confident English communication.
