Senior Forecasting Manager

Purpose of the role
Drive the airlines revenue forecasting and budgeting processes by coordinating and developing effective procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize capacity establish systematic data-driven processes and enhance forecasting accuracy. Provide leadership and direction to the team of Forecasting Managers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of revenue forecasting procedures to support strategic planning.
- Develop revenue projections by analyzing forward bookings and evaluating sales trends.
- Build long-term route-level forecast based on regression model using macro factors.
- Lead revenue budgeting process.
- Cooperate with the Network team on capacity optimization simulating revenue impact of capacity scenarios.
- Cooperate with Data Science to set up systematic processes to improve forecasting accuracy.
- Work with Pricing & Revenue Management team to incorporate market intelligence and pricing strategies info forecasting models.
- Lead and oversee a team consisting of three Revenue Forecasting Managers ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Experience
5-7 years working experience with 3 years of experience in forecasting and modeling 2 years of people leadership
Hard skills
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Experience in working with and interpreting data and analytics.
- Proficient in MS Excel/PowerPoint.
- Additional technical skills a plus: VBA PowerBI SQL Python.
- Good understanding of core economic concepts and principles.
- Strong commercial acumen
- Advanced applied mathematics is a plus
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree
Language
Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
Skills and competencies
- Structured thinking ability to break down complex problems and explain them clearly.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Desire to learn more about the low-cost airline and travel industry as well as to develop analytical and managerial skills.
- Comfortable with uncertain and rapidly changing business environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive willing to take initiative and shoulder responsibility.
- Able to lead and energize the team
