Senior Financial Accountant IVD Budapest

We are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support one to two business entities within the Europe East region for our global IVD this role you will have end-to-end responsibility for internal and external audits across the region while owning key harmonized accounting activities including asset management recurring postings and account reconciliations. Working closely with regional and global finance stakeholders you will be a key contributor to driving operational efficiency process improvement and accounting harmonization across entities.

• Entity Accounting: Manage end-to-end US GAAP and statutory accounting for legal entities within the Europe East region including accruals prepaids local tax accounting trial balance reviews clearings and reclassifications.
• Audit Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits for assigned entities.
• Intercompany & Regional Operations: Take full ownership of intercompany reconciliations across the Europe East region and execute daily/monthly regional accounting activities (fixed/demo asset management recurring journal entries P&L reviews cost center control T&E accounts and stock count coordination).
• Account Reconciliations: Prepare and complete BlackLine reconciliations for regional entities.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Finance AP Tax Country and Regional Leadership) and external partners (audit firms local tax authorities).
• Process Improvement: Participate in local regional and global finance projects actively identifying and driving opportunities for process harmonization and operational efficiency.

• Education & Credentials: Masters degree in Finance Accounting or a Certified Accountant qualification.
• Professional Experience: Solid accounting experience preferably within an international environment.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with SAP and strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel). Experience with BlackLine is an advantage.
• Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of another European language (preferably Hungarian or Polish) is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Self-motivated flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment with strong initiative to improve existing processes.
• Teamwork & Communication: Strong team player with effective communication skills and a proven ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external partners.
• Travel: A valid passport and the willingness to travel abroad occasionally outside standard working hours or during weekends when necessary.
