Job Summary
- Provide daytoday postsales operational support for production and preproduction End Client network environments.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware software and network issues across largescale IP/MPLS infrastructures.
- Open manage and drive Juniper JTAC cases to resolution including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support End Client during critical incidents outages and escalation scenarios communicating clearly with engineering operations and leadership teams.
- Conduct network informationgathering workshops to understand End Client current network architecture operational workflows and future design requirements.
- Become deeply familiar with customers organizational structure engineering standards and operational procedures.
- Provide guidance on network design evolution capacity growth and technology adoption aligned with customers roadmap.
- Assist with major network upgrades maintenance windows migrations and change events.
- Produce clear concise written reports detailing project progress network health assessments identified issues and remediation activities.
- Lead technology and operations workshops to review ongoing issues and JTAC case status and explain root causes mitigations and longterm solutions.
- Train End Client engineering implementation and operations teams on configuration monitoring and daytoday operation of HPE Juniper Networks platforms.
- Assess overall network health and stability across HPE Juniperbased environments.
- Develop and maintain fault isolation and diagnostic procedures.
- Create and review customer SOPs and MOPs to identify procedural gaps or anomalies that could result in network or service outages.
- Contribute to bestpractice policies and standards for HPE Juniper product usage within End Client.
- Peer with other Resident Engineers to share lessons learned and reduce risk during network changes.
- Develop secondary expertise across additional HPE Juniper product lines as required.
- Perform lab testing design validation tests (DVT) certification and integration of new hardware and major software releases prior to production deployment.
- Maintain a robust release management DB to enhance the stability and solve security vulnerabilities from 3rd party security release reports.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and use of AI tools to reduce operational toil improve consistency and accuracy and accelerate troubleshooting and provisioning.
- Write and support Pythonbased automation tools for configuration validation health checks.
- Assist End Client engineering and operations teams in adopting network automation tools.
- Contribute to documentation and internal tooling repositories supporting ongoing automation initiatives.
- Track and triage on PBN (Proactive Bug Notification) and SIRT (Security Incident Response Team) and document security gaps. Identify likelihood of hitting software bugs and security vulnerability. Seek a permanent remediation or a workaround till a final resolution is available.
- Held frequent meetings with the customer and SM to discuss JTAC cases progression and solutions and provide the required actions to articulate customers inquiries.
- 5 years of handson design deployment and operational experience in largescale service provide networks.
- Experience in supporting major network transformations upgrades or expansions.
- Strong experience with JUNOS CLI.
- Largescale handson experience with: MX QFX EX ACX and PTX platforms
- Strong understanding of service provider networking technologies including:
- TCP/IP and MPLS fundamentals
- Routing protocols: OSPF ISIS BGP
- MPLSTE RSVP LDP SR and SRv6.
- IPv4 / IPv6
- BGP routing policy and peering
- VPN technologies: L3VPN VPLS MVPN
- Ethernet switching 802.1Q
- QoS / Class of Service
- EVPN.
- Broadband services and BNG.
- Handson experience with Scripting Python and Juniper PyEZ.
- Hands-on Traffic steering and Traffic Engineering Software (Paragon/JRD)
- Ability to design automation solutions that integrate with existing operational workflows.
- Excellent communication skills during highpressure outage or escalation scenarios.
- Ability to present complex technical topics to engineering operations and executive audiences.
- Strong customerfacing skills with a collaborative consultative approach.
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical scalable network solutions.
- Expert-level Technical Certifications: JNCIP JNCIE CCNP and CCIE.
