Regional Category Leader Construction & Installation (mkn)

The Regional Category Leader Construction & Installation is responsible for leading strategic sourcing activities for the Facilities and Construction categories across assigned sites within GE Gas Powers Europe region
and for collaborating on regional strategies across multiple European sites. The Sourcing Specialist will report to the Construction Global Category Leader and work with regional and global peers to coordinate sourcing efforts drive RFQ process and supplier
selection for assigned investment projects and execute sourcing initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities (What you will do):
Lead sourcing activities for Facilities and Construction categories across assigned sites in Europe.
Support regional sourcing plans and collaborate with global and regional peers on category priorities and initiatives.
Develop negotiation approaches and lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to achieve business objectives.
Manage the end-to-end sourcing process including market analysis RFQ/RFP execution supplier evaluation contract development and sourcing execution.
Perform cost analysis to support competitive pricing and strong commercial outcomes.
Drive compliance with sourcing processes policies and standard ways of working.
Partner with Manufacturing Process Engineering Finance Supply Chain and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and support sourcing execution.
Help develop clear scopes of work and sourcing requirements for assigned projects.
Support supplier development and process improvements to improve cycle time service levels and overall sourcing efficiency.
Track sourcing performance savings and other key metrics for assigned categories and projects.
Serve as a sourcing resource to stakeholders and colleagues for category knowledge sourcing processes and execution support.

Required Qualifications (What you will bring):
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college.
Significant experience in Sourcing or Supply Chain.
Significant experience in procurement sourcing or project management related to Large Construction Projects.
Experience in supplier negotiations and commercial contracting within construction or related categories.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with RFQ implementation and execution.
Strong knowledge of sourcing processes and e-sourcing tools.
Ability to work across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Language: Fluent English required.

Desired Qualifications (What will make you stand out):
Degree in Sourcing Supply Chain Management Finance Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.
Extensive experience in construction sourcing contracting and/or project management.
Experience negotiating large (10s or 100s of million Euro) complex construction / CAPEX projects.
Experience negotiating multiple construction contract & pricing models (design-build GC CM EPC; lump sum GMP etc.).
Experience negotiating non-standard commercial or legal terms and conditions.
Experience in Facilities or other indirect categories such as CAPEX maintenance or facility services.
Category management or strategic sourcing experience in a multinational or European environment.
Strong project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and deliver results.
Fluency in additional European languages is a plus.

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid - 2 office days/week - applicable upon Employer and People Leader permission.
