Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for a Procurement Governance and Controls Specialist. This position is hybrid and located in Budapest Hungary.
What You Will Do:
- Execute recurring compliance controls to ensure adherence to procurement policies and internal governance standards
- Perform regular monitoring of:
- Split requisitions to detect policy circumvention
- Competitive sourcing compliance
- Payment term deviations
- PO type and material group accuracy
- Conduct structured reviews using system reports and defined sampling methodologies
- Document findings escalate non-compliance and ensure corrective actions are tracked to closure
- Execute operational controls supporting end-to-end procurement process health
- Purchase Order lifecycle management and data quality checks
- Framework order reconciliation
- ARIBA interface monitoring (CIG transactions failed POs ME9F outputs)
- Vendor-related reviews (deduplication inactive vendors contact validation)
- Monitor system-driven reports and exceptions
- Maintain oversight of transactional integrity across regions (Americas EMEA APAC)
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of procurement master and transactional data
- Payment terms alignment
- Category and material group consistency
- PO delivery and confirmation follow-ups
- Identify data inconsistencies and initiate corrective actions
- Support audit activities with documentation and evidence
- Maintain audit readiness
- Escalate control gaps and risks
- Deliver compliance and operational reporting
- Highlight issues trends and insights
- Support performance reviews and improvements
- Partner with stakeholders to resolve issues
- Provide procurement policy guidance
- Ensure alignment on corrective actions
- Act as point of contact for governance topics
- Identify efficiency improvements
- Support automation initiatives
- Monitor automated processes
- Enhance governance framework
- Support training and awareness
- Promote compliant procurement behavior
- Execute recurring governance activities
- Purchase requisition cleanup
- Offboarding checks
- System validations
What You Bring
College or University degree
5 years of experience in Procurement or in a relevant field
