Portfolio and Market Risk Stress Testing Specialist

We are seeking a Portfolio and Market Risk Stress Testing Specialist to join our Market Risk Department based in Budapest. The cornerstone of Morgan Stanleys risk management philosophy is the execution of risk-adjusted returns through prudent risk-taking that protects Morgan Stanleys capital base and franchise.

Risk Management protects the Firm from exposure to losses resulting from defaults by our lending and trading counterparties.

The role will reside within the Firm Risk Managements Market Risk Department (MRD) which is a team dedicated to providing analyses and reporting of all market risk arising from the Firms business activities. This role resides within the Portfolio and Market Risk Stress Testing team. The role involves analyzing the Firms internal and regulatory scenarios working on process improvements designing stress scenarios and liaising with a host of risk managers and various stakeholders.

In the Firm Risk Management division we advise businesses across the Firm on risk mitigation strategies develop tools to analyze and monitor risks and lead key regulatory initiatives.

What youll do in the role:

• Work in a team of portfolio and market risk stress testing specialists tasked with the production of various risk analysis and regulatory risk reports submitted to theFederal Reserve and other regulators in major financial centers
• Run the existing processes and work on improvements
• Conduct analysis on risks financial products and various stress scenarios
• Coordinate work with other departments in risk finance and technology
• Balance between regular and development / ad-hoc related tasks

What youll bring to the role:

• Bachelors or higher degree in a quantitative field such as Finance Economics and Mathematics
• Basic understanding of the financial concepts financial products and risk management
• Basic knowledge of financial risks
• Excel and data experience
• Experience in a finance risk function is a plus
• SQL PowerBI and other programming languages is a plus
