About the Role

The Plant Director Operations is responsible for leading a single-site manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors. The role ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while continuously improving the efficiency of manpower materials and machines.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As the operational leader of the site you will have end-to-end ownership to ensure SQDC targets are achieved: Safety Quality Delivery and Cost.

What You Will Do

  • Full responsibility for the manufacturing site to meet Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC) targets.

  • Set the vision and direction for the manufacturing site.

  • Lead and deploy site strategy in Lean Manufacturing quality cost reduction on-time delivery safety customer satisfaction employee relations visual controls and performance management.

  • Drive fast and sustainable problem resolution improving collaboration and working relationships.

  • Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce on-hand inventory.

  • Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control waste reduction quality OSHA safety EHS/ESD and deliver on time at the lowest possible cost.

  • Balance work cell capacity and loading across the plant.

  • Determine operational headcount needs and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Identify communicate and drive capital investments and continuous improvement projects.

  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws/regulations and SOX requirements.

  • Ensure introduction and sufficient implementation of accepted customer-specific requirements (GCSR).

  • Provide strong leadership in employee relations through effective communication coaching training and development.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Proven senior leadership experience in automotive electronics manufacturing/plant operations (single-site responsibility is a strong advantage).

  • Strong track record in delivering SQDC results and driving Lean/Continuous Improvement

  • Excellent leadership skills: building high-performing teams coaching leaders and strengthening engagement.

  • Solid business acumen across cost productivity quality and delivery performance.

  • Experience managing compliance topics (EHS/ESD audits regulatory requirements).

  • Confident communication and stakeholder management in a fast-paced environment.
