As an Engineering Manager you will build lead and motivate a high-performing product-minded engineering team delivering highly complex innovative product increments for the Genesys Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with both software engineering and people management.
Responsibilities:
Recruit top talent to grow our motivated high-performance product-minded engineering organization
Support invest in and develop incredible teams of talented and motivated engineers with clear expectations via practices such as 1:1s goal setting and constant feedback
Manage a development team of 5 engineers balancing a fast-paced delivery schedule while ensuring resilience and quality to delight customers
Work together with the Product Manager especially on grooming and prioritizing a customer-centric product backlog
Collaborate with architects tech leads and other stakeholders in the execution and success of complex technical projects
Ensure business and product requirements are met in a timely manner with an exceptional quality
Cultivate a strong transparent and collaborative team culture with agile mindset
Remain up to date with industry standards and technological advancements that will improve the quality of your outputs and the team
Take part in hands-on development work
Requirements:
5 years of experience as a hands-on software engineer and strength in computer science fundamentals to understand the engineering work and processes
Ability to engage inspire and attract engineering teams. A compassionate approach to communication and a genuine interest in the success and growth of the people you work with
Hands-on experience with Python and / or Java
Experience with micro-services development and architecture
Consumer or Enterprise SaaS experience
Experience with AWS managed services and solutions
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
Excellent communication skills
Focus on details and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
