Accounting Controlling & Reporting Team Manager (Temporary contract) - Your future position

As a Accounting Controlling & Reporting Team Manager in our Budapest office you will be in charge of monitor teams performance against deliverables set in the KPIs and against Corporate standards. You will support revisition of Controlling/Reporting activities make proposals to improve and standardise day-to-day processes and Month-End Closing activities acting as Managers deputies

Main responsibilities:

  • Cost Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of product cost data manage complex standard cost calculations and lead initiatives to streamline requests in the GFS Controlling Mailbox.
  • Inventory Oversight and Valuation: Direct the booking of journal entries ensure the integrity of GL accounts and manage the timely execution of month/year-end closing activities.
  • Advanced Reporting: Lead the development of periodic and ad hoc reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines while providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Supervise the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to uphold financial integrity and transparency.
  • Key Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison for local teams proactively addressing complex issues related to day-to-day processing and strategic initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant policies and regulations while driving updates to work instructions and process manuals to reflect best practices.
  • Project Leadership: Spearhead participation in high-impact projects and champion process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Mentor and develop junior team members creating tailored training plans to elevate team capabilities and performance.
  • Support FICO Leadership: Collaborate with the GBS FICO Management team to achieve global financial targets and optimize workload management across the team

You Have:

  • University degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting/controlling or equivalent.
  • 5 years of professional experience in finance/controlling and people management experience
  • Fluent English level encompassing special terminologies in the area of Finance & Accounting
  • Solid knowledge of MS office and SAP FI/CO
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
