Forecasting Manager

Purpose of the role
The Forecasting Manager is responsible for coordinating and developing the revenue forecasting procedures of the airline modelling the revenue outlook and setting up long-term route level forecasts. This role involves leading the revenue budgeting process and cooperating with multiple departments such as Network Data Science and Pricing & Revenue Management teams to optimize revenue forecasts and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating and developing the revenue forecasting procedures of the airline
- Modelling the revenue outlook based on forward bookings and sales trends
- Setting up long-term route level forecast based on regression models using macro factors
- Leading the revenue budgeting process
- Cooperating with the Network team on capacity optimization simulating revenue impact of capacity scenarios
- Cooperating with the Data Science team to set up systematic processes to improve forecasting accuracy
- Cooperating with the Pricing & Revenue Management team to feed forecasting models with the latest market insights and pricing actions
Experience
3-5 years of overall working experience with 2 years of experience in forecasting and modelling.
Hard skills
- Outstanding analytical skills
- Master in setting up and maintaining complex Excel-based models
- Strong commercial acumen
- Advanced applied mathematics and economics expertise is a plus
Education
Bachelors or Masters degree
Language
Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
