The Position

Please note that this role offers a fixed-term contract (up until Aug 31 2027).

The Record to Report (R2R) Department is a global organization of over 650 experienced finance professionals working together to deliver financial services and solutions for Roche across the EMEA region. Our services cover financial management period-end closing capital and lease accounting credit and receivables manufacturing finance and divisional reporting ensuring compliance for 263 reporting entities in 96 countries with accounting standards (IFRS GAAP) and providing assurance of financial integrity.


As a Finance and Accounting Team Lead you will coordinate complete stringent and timely finance and accounting tasks the departments scope covers and proactively seek opportunities to allow more effective cooperation between teams / team members regardless of country / functional assignments.


In this role you will focus on:

  • Leading people management activities including goal setting recruitment and performance evaluation

  • Ensuring the service quality in the responsible area

  • Proactively and constructively managing change initiatives

  • Fostering relationships with stakeholders in the respective business area

  • Providing and organizing assistance to other teams or team members facing workload or expertise challenges

  • Fostering a collaborative team environment where everyone thrives

Who you are

We are looking for someone who is self motivated really passionate about his or her job and understands that providing a high-quality service is crucial for the organization. As an ideal team member you are open-minded dedicated to make a difference and open to constant development. Furthermore you have:

  • University degree preferably in Finance/Accounting related discipline

  • ACCA or other accounting professional qualifications will be an added advantage

  • 5 years of working experience in related field

  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software preferably SAP and MS office tools

  • Strong communication skills expressing ideas and expectations in a clear and concise manner

  • Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic changing and growing environment

  • Proficiency in English
