Your opportunity
Lead a team of Corporate Actions professionals responsible for the end-to-end management of corporate action events across multiple asset classes and markets. The role is accountable for ensuring the accurate and timely interpretation communication election processing reconciliation and oversight of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions.
The Corporate Actions Team Lead will provide leadership across the Corporate Action function including related activities such as income processing and tax reclamation and withholding with Corporate Actions as the primary center of expertise. The role will drive operational excellence risk mitigation regulatory compliance and continuous process improvement acting as a key escalation point globally for complex or high-risk events and a primary contact for internal and external stakeholders including investment teams custodians tax advisors technology partners and market participants.
Duties & responsibilities
- Lead coach and develop a team of Corporate Actions professionals ensuring effective coverage technical expertise and strong operational standards across the function.
- Own and oversee the end-to-end Corporate Actions operating model including mandatory and voluntary events corporate action elections entitlement processing market deadlines event validation booking and post-event reconciliation.
- Ensure timely interpretation communication and execution of corporate action notifications with clear escalation of complex events market risks or portfolio decision points.
- Supervise voluntary election response management and partner closely with investment teams and other stakeholders where manager or portfolio-level decisions are required.
- Oversee related activities including income processing and tax reclamation and withholding ensuring appropriate controls and service delivery across the broader team remit.
- Maintain a robust control environment for event processing entitlement calculations reconciliations exception management and issue resolution.
- Act as the key escalation point for Corporate Actions issues coordinating resolution across portfolio management trading compliance legal risk technology custodians and external service providers.
- Collaborate with Middle Office Leadership to improve the Corporate Actions operating model drive process improvements and support strategic initiatives.
- Support and lead operational projects including process redesign system enhancements testing implementation of new workflows and automation opportunities impacting Corporate Actions activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations representing the Corporate Actions function in audits regulatory reviews control testing and governance forums.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders acting as a trusted technical and operational point of contact for Corporate Actions matters.

Must have skills
- Corporate Actions Expertise: Significant experience across the full corporate actions lifecycle including mandatory and voluntary events entitlement processing market deadlines reconciliations and complex event management.
- Systems & Standards: Experience with corporate action platforms custodian portals SWIFT messaging standards and operational workflow tools; experience using BlackRocks Aladdin is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience managing coaching and developing a team within a financial services asset management or operations environment.
- Operational Control: Strong understanding of operational risk control frameworks regulatory requirements and the importance of accurate timely event processing.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process enhancements automation opportunities and control improvements to drive efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Stakeholder Management: Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners including custodians tax advisors technology partners and market participants.

Annual Bonus Opportunity:Position may be eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company department team and individual performance.
