Accountant II

Ensuring Charts Success

We are inviting you to join Howden and become a trusted and valued member of our Financial Accounting team which is based in the Budapest Shared Service Centre. As a part of this vital team you will have the opportunity to support numerous exciting projects in addition to your day-to-day tasks and engage in exciting and challenging work that will help you develop your skills and expertise.

In this role you will manage the end-to-end financial accounting process globally ensuring the application of US GAAP and local statutory requirements while also meeting other job-specific requirements which are listed below.

What Will You Do

• Following and maintaining work related processes
• Delivering quality work
• Completing tasks on or before deadline
• Ensuring compliance with SOX rules policies and procedures
• Performing daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation tasks and investigating/correcting differences
• Participating in corporate reporting (CRS)
• Performing manual journal entries
• Performing month end and year end closing related tasks
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing VAT returns/Intrastat/EC sales and purchases reporting
• Running other standard reports including any calculation needed for accruals fixed assets other revenues/costs
• Communicating with colleagues within SSC Global Finance and Business Unit contacts
• Manual invoicing (recharges scrapping)
• Processing bank account related transactions and reconciliation
• Processing Payments from e-banking systems
• Intercompany netting processing settlement bookings and IC reconciliation
• Filing of all records so that they can be accessed in a timely manner
• Reporting weekly cash flow

Your Experience Should Be...

• University or college degree
• Financial background
• Fluent English
• Experience in accounting
• MS office - Excel
• Preferable ERP system knowledge
